Kin Cayo doet wat met de zon

Terwijl we afgelopen weekend ons wekelijkse rondje langs ongeveer 9.763 muziekblogs maakten, kwamen we iets toepasselijks tegen. En dat toepasselijks is Kin Cayo. Waarom? Kin Cayo betekent letterlijk ‘family of small islands’.

Wat we bij Stereo Embers Magazine lezen snijdt ook hout: “One of the most exciting bands around melodically adventurous and musically cunning.” En ook wat Popmatters zegt: “Both in rhythm and in melody they evoke an idyllic island environment, where one can put on the tunes with nothing to worry about other than keeping the piña coladas coming along.”

Zelf zeggen ze daarover: “A lot of the songs are about a light at the end of the tunnel or, like, only in darkness can you see the light. It’s this kind of realness that things might be bad right now, but there’s hope; hope’s on the way, that there is a light.” Hoop doet leven!
